About the author: Ruth Hunt is a retired educator, writer, and the wife of internationally esteemed author, researcher, and lecturer, Dave Hunt. Maria Zeitner Linke was born in Russia in 1908 to German parents and spent six years of her childhood in the rugged work camps of Siberia. She came to the United States in 1957 and became a citizen in 1963. She died of cancer in 1978.
